About This Game
Dragon's Lair (USA) for the NES is a side‑scrolling action/platform adaptation of the famous laserdisc arcade game. Players control Dirk the Daring as he treks through the treacherous chambers of a dragon‑guarded castle to rescue Princess Daphne.
Story
The evil dragon Singe has kidnapped the beautiful Princess Daphne and imprisoned her in his dark castle. Brave knight Dirk the Daring ventures into the perilous fortress, dodging deadly traps and battling minions, to reach the dragon's lair and rescue the princess before it's too late.
Guide & Tips
Use the D‑pad to move Dirk left/right and to crouch or climb ladders. Press the A button to jump over pits and obstacles. Press the B button to swing your sword and defeat enemies or break certain barriers. Watch for on‑screen prompts that indicate timed button presses (a nod to the original laserdisc timing). Reach the exit of each chamber while avoiding traps and the dragon's fire to progress toward the final showdown with Singe.
