About This Game

DuckTales is a side‑scrolling platformer released for the NES in 1989, based on the Disney animated series. Players control Scrooge McDuck as he travels around the world to collect legendary treasures while avoiding enemies and hazards.

Story

Scrooge McDuck learns that the legendary treasures of the world have been stolen by the evil witch Magica De Spell. Determined to regain his fortune, Scrooge embarks on a global quest, traveling to exotic locales to retrieve the riches and thwart Magica's wicked plans.

Guide & Tips

The game consists of five stages (Amazon, African Mines, Transylvania, Himalayas, and the Moon) plus a final boss stage. Use Scrooge's cane to attack enemies and as a pogo stick (hold Down while jumping) to bounce on foes and reach higher platforms. Collect diamonds and treasures for extra points and lives. Watch for secret walls and hidden items that can grant extra lives or power‑ups. Defeat each stage's boss to progress, and finally face the evil Magica De Spell on the Moon to rescue the stolen treasures.

Controls

D-Pad: Move left/right, crouch (down). A: Jump (also pogo stick when holding Down). B: Swing cane (attack). Start: Pause game. Select: Not used.
