Zelda no Densetsu - Yume o Miru Shima DX (Japan) (SGB Enhanced) (GB Compatible)

About This Game

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX is the enhanced Game Boy Color remake of the classic Game Boy title Link's Awakening. Players control Link as he explores the mysterious Koholint Island, solves puzzles, battles enemies, and collects the eight Instruments of the Sirens to awaken the sleeping Wind Fish and find a way home.

Story

Link is shipwrecked during a storm and awakens on the strange Koholint Island. Guided by a mysterious girl named Marin, he learns that the island is actually a dream of the Wind Fish—a powerful being slumbering beneath the island. To leave, Link must awaken the Wind Fish by collecting the eight Instruments of the Sirens scattered across the island's dungeons and playing them for the deity.

Guide & Tips

Begin by talking to Tarin and exploring Mabe Village to get the Sword. Progress through the island's dungeons in order: Tail Cave, Bottle Grotto, Key Cavern, Angler's Tunnel, Catfish's Maw, Face Shrine, Eagle's Tower, and Turtle Rock. Collect the corresponding Instrument in each dungeon. Use the Power Bracelet to lift heavy objects, the Pegasus Boots for dash, and the Roc's Feather for jumping. After all instruments are collected, play them for the Wind Fish to escape the island.

Controls

Trivia

The DX version was the first Zelda game to feature color graphics on a handheld. It also introduced the optional Color Dungeon, a photo album feature using the Game Boy Color's infrared link, and an upgraded soundtrack. Despite being a remake, it retains the original's quirky dialogue and hidden secrets, such as the 'Secret Seashells' that unlock a special chamber.
