About This Game
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX is an enhanced remake of the original Game Boy classic, featuring full-color graphics, a dungeon editor, and a photo shop. Players guide Link as he explores the mysterious Koholint Island, collects the eight Instruments of the Sirens, and endeavors to awaken the sleeping Wind Fish.
Story
After a fierce storm, Link is shipwrecked on the mysterious Koholint Island. He learns that the island is a dream of the Wind Fish, a great slumbering beast whose dream will vanish if it awakens. To leave the island, Link must wake the Wind Fish by collecting the eight Instruments of the Sirens and playing them atop the island’s highest peak.
Guide & Tips
Begin by acquiring the Sword and Shield, then explore the island to find the eight Instruments hidden in dungeons. Each dungeon requires solving puzzles, defeating mini‑bosses, and obtaining a key item. After collecting all Instruments, play them for the Wind Fish at the Egg atop Mount Tamaranch to finish the game. Use the Dungeon Editor to create custom levels, and visit the Photo Shop to capture souvenirs.

Trivia
The DX version was the first Zelda game to feature true color on a handheld, and it introduced the Dungeon Editor, allowing players to design and share custom dungeons. The Photo Shop feature let players take in‑game pictures that could be printed via the Game Boy Printer, a unique novelty at the time.
