About This Game
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening follows Link as he washes ashore on the mysterious Koholint Island after a storm. To leave the island and continue his quest, he must awaken the Wind Fish by collecting the eight Instruments of the Sirens while battling monsters, solving puzzles, and exploring dungeons.
Story
Link awakens on Koholint Island after a shipwreck, discovering that the island exists within the dream of the Wind Fish. To return to his own world, he must gather the eight Instruments of the Sirens, awaken the Wind Fish, and escape the dream before it fades.
Guide & Tips
Begin by obtaining the Sword, then explore the island and complete the dungeons in this order: Bottle Grotto, Key Cavern, Angler's Tunnel, Catfish's Maw, Face Shrine, Eagle's Tower, Turtle Rock, and finally the Wind Fish's Egg. Use the Power Bracelet to lift heavy objects, the Pegasus Boots for sprinting, and the Hookshot to reach distant areas. Collect all Secret Seashells to trade for the Chamber Stone, which grants access to the final dungeon.

Trivia
Link's Awakening was the first Zelda game released for a handheld console and introduced the series' first female ally, Marin. The game's ending reveals that the island is a dream of the Wind Fish. It was later remastered as Link's Awakening DX for the Game Boy Color, adding a color palette and a bonus dungeon.
