About This Game
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages is an action-adventure game developed by Flagship and published by Nintendo for Game Boy Color. It is the second game in the Oracle series, designed by Capcom's Flagship studio.
Story
Link is summoned by the Triforce to the land of Labrynna to aid Impa, who is protecting the Oracle of Ages, Nayru. The sorceress Veran possesses Nayru and travels back in time to alter the past, causing chaos in the present. Link must journey through different time periods, collecting the eight Essences of Nature to restore the timeline and defeat Veran.
Guide & Tips
Players control Link as he travels through the past and present of the land of Labrynna. The game features time-travel mechanics, where Link uses the Harp of Ages to switch between eras. Players must solve puzzles, explore dungeons, and defeat enemies to progress. The game has two possible endings depending on whether players complete the game with or without the password from Oracle of Seasons.
Controls
On Game Boy Color, use the directional pad to move Link, press A button to interact with objects and attack, press B button to use items, press Start to open the menu, and press Select to switch between items. The combination of A and B buttons allows for special attacks.
Cheats & Passwords
At the start of a new game, enter your name as 'ZELDA' to start with a stronger sword. After completing the game, you can use passwords to transfer items and continue the story in a new game+. Some debug rooms and unused items can be accessed through specific button combinations on the title screen.
Trivia
Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons were originally intended to be a single game but were split into two due to memory limitations on the Game Boy cartridge. The games feature a password system that allows players to connect them and experience a larger storyline. The games were designed to be played in any order, with each having unique content and bosses.
