Zelda II: The Adventure of Link is the second installment in The Legend of Zelda series, released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1988. It blends side-scrolling platform action with RPG mechanics, featuring experience points, levels, magic, and a townsfolk interaction system.
Guide & Tips
Begin by talking to the old man in North Castle to receive the Sword. Explore the overworld, defeat enemies to earn experience and level up your Life, Magic, and Attack. Visit towns to buy items and learn spells. Retrieve the six crystals hidden in palaces to break the sleeping spell on Princess Zelda. Prepare for boss fights by stocking up on potions and upgrading your abilities.

Trivia
Zelda II is the only mainline Zelda game to use a side-scrolling perspective and the first to introduce experience points, character leveling, and a magic system. It also featured the first 'continue' option in the series, allowing players to resume from the point of death after using a continue.
