About This Game
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is an action-adventure platformer that pioneered the 'Metroidvania' genre, following Alucard as he explores Dracula's castle to thwart his father's evil plans.
Story
Set after the events of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, the vampire hunter Alucard returns to Dracula's castle to investigate his father's lingering influence. As he explores the gothic fortress, he uncovers secrets about his own heritage, confronts familiar foes, and ultimately decides whether to embrace his destiny as a hunter or succumb to his vampiric nature.

Begin by mastering the basic controls: move with the D-pad, jump with A, attack with B, and use sub-weapons with C. Collect experience points to level up, find new weapons, armor, and abilities. Explore the castle thoroughly; hidden rooms often contain powerful items. After defeating the final boss, a second, inverted castle becomes accessible, offering new challenges and endings.

Trivia
