About This Game

Castlevania II: Simon's Quest is an action‑adventure platformer where Simon Belmont must hunt down Dracula's scattered body parts to lift a deadly curse. The game blends traditional side‑scrolling action with RPG‑like exploration, day/night cycles, and a password system.

Story

After defeating Dracula in the original Castlevania, Simon Belmont is cursed with a slowly worsening ailment. The only way to lift the curse is to recover Dracula's five scattered body parts and perform a ritual at sunrise. Simon must traverse the Transylvanian countryside, gather clues, and confront the darkness that lingers.

Guide & Tips

Begin in the town of Jova and talk to locals for hints. Collect the five Dracula parts (Rib, Heart, Eye, Nail, Ring) scattered across the countryside. Use the day/night cycle: enemies are stronger at night, but some items only appear after dark. Visit mansions to buy supplies and heal. When you have all parts, return to Dracula's castle at dawn to fight him and break the curse. Save your progress with the password system after each major acquisition.

Trivia

Castlevania II was the first title in the series to introduce RPG elements such as experience-like currency (hearts), a day/night cycle, and a password-based save system. It also famously features the infamous 'bad ending' if the player fails to collect all parts before the final confrontation.
