About This Game

Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem – Heroes of Light and Shadow is a tactical role‑playing game for the Nintendo DS. It is a remake of the third Fire Emblem title, Mystery of the Emblem, set in the Archanea universe and follows Prince Marth as he battles to restore peace to the continent.

Story

Set in the continent of Archanea, the game follows Prince Marth of Altea as he returns from exile to confront the revived dragon Medeus and the manipulative Gharnef. With the help of loyal companions and the legendary Falchion sword, Marth must gather the Fire Emblem's five orbs to seal away the darkness and restore peace to the land.

Guide & Tips

Begin by completing the prologue tutorials to learn movement, attacking, and the weapon triangle. Use the 'Casual' mode if you prefer units to survive defeat, or stick with 'Classic' for the traditional permadeath experience. Pay attention to support conversations—they boost stats and unlock new dialogue. Manage your inventory carefully; weapons have limited uses, so repair or replace them before they break. Utilize the DS touch screen for quick menu navigation and to issue commands to multiple units at once.
