About This Game

Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin is a 2D action-platformer for the Nintendo DS that blends classic Metroidvania exploration with RPG elements, allowing players to switch between two characters, Jonathan Morris and Charlotte Aulin, each with unique abilities.

Story

Set in 1944, the game follows Jonathan Morris, son of the legendary vampire hunter John Morris, and his friend Charlotte Aulin, a young witch. Together they infiltrate Dracula's castle to thwart the Count's resurrection and rescue a kidnapped girl, uncovering the dark secrets hidden within the ruined fortress.

Guide & Tips

Use Jonathan for close‑range melee attacks and Charlotte for long‑range magic. Switch characters with L/R (or X) to adapt to enemies and puzzles. Collect souls from defeated foes to upgrade weapons and spells. Keep an eye on the map (Select) to locate hidden rooms and save points. Utilize save rooms frequently, as the castle can be unforgiving.
