About This Game
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow is the direct sequel to Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow for the Nintendo DS. Players once again control Soma Cruz, who must prevent the dark lord's return by collecting souls, defeating bosses, and using the innovative Tactical Soul system to absorb enemy abilities.
Story
After defeating Dracula in Aria of Sorrow, Soma Cruz believes the dark lord is finally gone. However, a mysterious cult seeks to resurrect him using the power of the sealed souls. Soma must once again hunt down the cult’s members, collect the souls of fallen monsters, and use his innate power to absorb those souls to stop the resurrection and protect the world from impending doom.
Guide & Tips
Begin by mastering the whip (B) and sub-weapon (Y) combo. Use souls collected from enemies to unlock new abilities in the Ability Menu (accessed via Start). Healing items can be used with X. Pay attention to the seal drawing mini-game on the touch screen—draw the required symbol accurately to break enemy seals and gain powerful souls. Explore each area thoroughly; hidden rooms often contain rare souls and equipment. Save frequently at save points to avoid losing progress after tough boss fights.
