About This Game
Castlevania II: Simon's Quest is an action‑adventure platformer released for the NES in 1988. Players control Simon Belmont as he travels through Transylvania to collect the scattered remains of Dracula and lift the curse placed upon him after their first battle.
Guide & Tips
Explore towns and talk to NPCs for hints about where Dracula's body parts are hidden. Day turns to night periodically, changing enemy behavior and unlocking certain areas. Use the whip (B) to defeat enemies and breakable blocks, jump (A) to navigate platforms, and pause (Start) to check your inventory and map. Collect hearts to upgrade your whip and obtain special items like the Holy Water and Oak Stake. Follow the password system to resume progress after quitting.
Controls
D‑Pad: Move left/right, crouch (down), look up (up). A Button: Jump. B Button: Whip attack / use secondary weapon. Start Button: Pause / open inventory and map. Select Button: Toggle map view (when paused).
Cheats & Passwords
At the title screen, input the Konami Code: ↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → B A to start with 30 lives. Alternatively, pause the game and press Select + A to refill your hearts to maximum.
