About This Game
Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen is the fourth main entry in the Dragon Quest series. Originally released for the Famicom/NES, it was remade for the Nintendo DS with updated graphics, voice acting, and additional content. The game is structured in five interconnected chapters, each following a different hero before they unite to confront the evil archfiend Psaro.
Guide & Tips
Begin each chapter by talking to every NPC in town to gather hints and side quests. Equip the best available weapons and armor before heading into dungeons. Use the 'Tactics' menu to set AI behavior for your party members (e.g., 'Follow Leader', 'Use Healing'). Save frequently, especially before boss fights, and make use of the inn to restore HP/MP. When a chapter ends, review the earned experience and allocate skill points wisely to prepare for the final united chapter.

D-Pad: Move character; A: Confirm / Interact; B: Cancel / Open main menu; X: View status / Skills; Y: Use assigned skill (if any); L/R: Adjust camera / zoom; Start: Pause game; Select: Open world map.
Trivia
The DS remake was the first Dragon Quest title to feature full voice acting for its main story cutscenes. It also introduced a new mini‑game slot machine called 'Lucky Panel' and included a bonus dungeon, 'The Cave of the Sacred Sword', which was not present in the original NES version.
