About This Game

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is an action-adventure game developed and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Players control Link as he travels between the Light and Dark Worlds to rescue Princess Zelda and defeat the evil wizard Agahnim and the dark lord Ganon.

Story

Long ago, the Triforce was split into three pieces: Power, Wisdom, and Courage. The evil wizard Agahnim seized the Power piece and kidnapped Princess Zelda, intending to use her to break the seal on the Dark World and release Ganon. Link, a young orphan raised by his uncle, embarks on a quest to retrieve the Master Sword, rescue Zelda, and restore peace by reuniting the Triforce and defeating Ganon once and for all.

Guide & Tips

Begin by obtaining the Sword and Shield in Hyrule Castle. Explore the overworld to find the three pendants (Courage, Wisdom, Power) needed to enter the Dark World. Use the Map and Compass in dungeons to locate hidden rooms and bosses. Save often at the Sanctuary, and remember to bring Bottles for fairies or potions. When you acquire the Master Sword, you can defeat Ganon’s minions more easily. In the Dark World, mirror your actions in the Light World to unlock new paths.
