Zelda no Densetsu - Kamigami no Triforce (Japan) (Rev 2)

About This Game

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is an action-adventure game where Link must rescue Princess Zelda and save the kingdom of Hyrule from the evil wizard Agahnim and the dark lord Ganon.

Story

Link lives peacefully with his uncle in a small house near Hyrule Castle. When a sudden storm brings the evil wizard Agahnim to the kingdom, he kidnaps Princess Zelda and begins to unleash his dark power. Guided by a telepathic plea from Zelda, Link sets out to retrieve the three pendants, forge the Master Sword, and ultimately save Hyrule from the darkness of Ganon.

Guide & Tips

Begin by obtaining the three pendants of virtue (Courage, Wisdom, Power) to forge the Master Sword. After retrieving the sword, rescue Zelda from the castle dungeon, then venture into the Dark World to recover the seven crystals and defeat Ganon. Use bombs to break walls, arrows to hit distant switches, and the boomerang to stun enemies. Remember to visit the Fairy Fountains to upgrade your sword and shield.

Controls

D-Pad: Move Link; A Button: Swing sword / use equipped item; B Button: Use selected item from inventory; X/Y Buttons: Open menu / change item assignments; Start: Pause game / open map; Select: Switch between equipped items.

Trivia

The game was originally planned as a direct sequel to the original The Legend of Zelda, but due to hardware limitations it became a prequel set before the events of the first game. It introduced the concept of a parallel Dark World, which would become a staple of the series. A Link to the Past was the first Zelda title to use battery-backed save memory, allowing players to retain progress without passwords.
