About This Game
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a side-scrolling action-platformer released for the NES in 1989. Players control one of the four turtles—Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, or Raphael—as they navigate sewers, streets, and enemy bases to defeat Shredder and rescue April O'Neil.
Story
The evil Shredder has kidnapped April O'Neil and taken over the city with his Foot Clan. The four mutant turtles, trained in ninjutsu by their master Splinter, venture into the sewers and streets to defeat Shredder's minions, rescue April, and restore peace to New York.
Guide & Tips
Begin by selecting your favorite turtle. Use the D-pad to move left/right and duck, A to jump and attack, B to use your special weapon. Defeat foot soldiers to earn points and extra lives. Watch for environmental hazards like pits and electrified wires. Bosses appear at the end of each stage; learn their patterns to exploit weaknesses. Collect pizza slices for health restoration.
Controls
D-Pad: Move left/right, duck; A Button: Jump / Attack; B Button: Special Weapon; Start Button: Pause; Select Button: Switch turtle (if applicable).
Trivia
This version is a Chinese fan translation by 星空汉化 (Starlight), based on the original US release. The game is notorious for its high difficulty and infamous 'water dam' level that many players consider nearly impossible without extra lives.
