About This Game
Double Dragon 3 is a classic side-scrolling beat-'em-up released for NES, this version being a Chinese fan translation. Players control Billy and Jimmy Lee as they battle through waves of enemies in a story involving kidnapping and ancient artifacts.
Story
Billy's girlfriend Marian has been kidnapped by the mysterious Shadow Boss. The Lee brothers must fight through the criminal underworld to rescue her and uncover the conspiracy behind ancient artifacts that grant supernatural powers.
Guide & Tips
Master the basic attack combinations (punch-kick-grab). Use environmental weapons like pipes and knives. Billy can perform a spinning kick while Jimmy has a sliding kick. Team up with your partner to surround enemies. Save health items for boss fights.
Controls
D-pad: Move character. A button: Punch. B button: Kick. Start: Pause game. Select: Switch between Billy and Jimmy in 2-player mode.
Cheats & Passwords
Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A at the title screen unlocks infinite lives. Some versions allow selecting difficulty by holding A/B buttons during startup.
Trivia
Double Dragon 3 was one of the first games to feature two-player simultaneous cooperative play on NES. The Chinese fan translation added full localization while preserving the original gameplay mechanics that defined the beat-'em-up genre.
