About This Game

Tenshihiki is a classic RPG based on the Three Kingdoms period of Chinese history, released on the NES platform.

Story

The game is set during the Three Kingdoms period in ancient China, following the historical events from the fall of the Han Dynasty to the establishment of the Jin Dynasty. Players can choose to follow the campaigns of Liu Bei, Cao Cao, or Sun Quan as they attempt to unify China.

Trivia

This game is based on the popular manga and anime series 'Tenchi wo Kurau' (Dining on Heaven), which itself was inspired by the classic Chinese novel 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms'. The game was one of the earliest RPGs to combine historical elements with action gameplay on the NES.
