About This Game
Final Fantasy VI Advance is the Game Boy Advance port of the classic Super Nintendo RPG. It features enhanced graphics, new dungeons, additional Espers, and expanded story scenes while maintaining the beloved tale of the Gestahlian Empire's tyranny.
Story
Set in the world of Vector, the game follows a group of rebels fighting against the Gestahlian Empire's magical empire-building through the exploitation of Espers and enslaved magic users. The story explores themes of loss, identity, and the power of hope through characters like Terra, Locke, and Celes as they unite to overthrow imperial oppression.
Guide & Tips
Focus on acquiring strong Espers early - Shiva, Ifrit, and Ramuh are excellent. Level up Cyan in the arena for quick stat boosts. Use the relic 'Genji Glove' to equip two weapons simultaneously. For the final dungeon, ensure you have characters who can cast both high-level magic and physical attacks. The new Dragon's Den dungeon requires careful exploration to obtain the best equipment.
Controls
Default GBA controls: D-pad for movement, A button for confirm/interact, B button for cancel/run, L/R buttons for changing party leader/target selection, Start for menu, Select for switching between active party members in battle.
Cheats & Passwords
Cheat codes (Gameshark): Infinite Gil - 02FE841C 0098967F; Instant Win Battles - 0200F5FC 00000001; All Characters Maxed Stats - Various codes available online. The Advance version also includes a built-in bestiary and music player accessible from the main menu.
Trivia
The Advance version added 4 new Espers (Cait Sith, Siren, Golem, and Crusader), a new dungeon called the Dragon's Den, and expanded the ending sequence. The music was fully remastered with enhanced audio quality. Originally released in Japan as 'Final Fantasy III' due to Nintendo's regional numbering differences.
