About This Game
Mega Man Battle Network 3 Black is the Japanese-exclusive version of the third installment in the Battle Network series. Players control Lan Hikari and his NetNavi MegaMan.EXE as they battle cyber-threats, collect Battle Chips, and customize their Navi through the Navi Customizer system. The Black version features unique story events, exclusive chips, and altered difficulty compared to its White counterpart.
Story
Lan Hikari and his NetNavi MegaMan.EXE continue their duty as net cops, protecting both the real and cyber worlds from evil forces. In this chapter, the notorious WWW syndicate resurfaces with a new plan to unleash the powerful Darkloid virus across the network. As Lan and MegaMan investigate, they encounter new allies and rivals, uncover hidden secrets about the Net's origins, and ultimately confront the mastermind behind the chaos. The Black version adds exclusive story scenes and challenges that delve deeper into the lore of the Battle Network universe.
Guide & Tips
Begin by completing the tutorial in ACDC Town to learn basic movement, chip selection, and battle mechanics. Progress through the story by visiting various net areas (e.g., ACDC, Oran, SciLab) and defeating viruses to earn money and chips. Use the Navi Customizer (accessed via the Start menu) to equip powerful programs that boost attack, defense, or special abilities. Key story milestones include defeating the WWW net-crime syndicate, stopping the Darkloid invasion, and confronting the ultimate antagonist, Dr. Wily's NetNavi. Collect all Standard, Mega, and Giga chips to unlock the secret ending and obtain the ultimate Dark Chip. Remember to save frequently at save points and visit the Chip Trader in ACDC for rare chip exchanges.
