About This Game
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is a 1997 action-adventure platformer developed by Konami for the PlayStation. Players control Alucard, the son of Dracula, as he explores Dracula's sprawling castle to prevent his father's resurrection, gaining new abilities, equipment, and familiars along the way.
Story
Years after Dracula's defeat, his dark castle reappears overnight. Alucard, Dracula's son and a vampire who opposes his father's evil, ventures into the castle to stop the resurrection ritual. As he explores, he encounters familiar faces, uncovers the castle's secrets, and gains new powers that allow him to reach the inverted castle hidden above the original structure, ultimately confronting Dracula himself.
