About This Game

Final Fantasy III is a 3D remake of the classic NES title, originally released in Japan in 2006 and later localized for Western audiences. The game follows four orphaned youths who become the Warriors of Light, tasked with restoring the power of the world's four elemental crystals.

Story

Long ago, the world was kept in balance by four elemental crystals—Wind, Water, Fire, and Earth. When the crystals lost their light, darkness began to spread. Four orphaned youths, guided by a mysterious voice, are chosen as the Warriors of Light. They must journey across the world, master new jobs, defeat powerful fiends, and restore the crystals' light to save the realm.

Guide & Tips

Begin by exploring the initial village of Ur, completing tutorial battles, and obtaining the first crystal. Progress through each continent, defeating bosses to acquire new jobs via the job system. Manage your party's equipment and abilities, and remember to save often at inns or tents. Use the airship to travel between regions once unlocked.

Trivia

Final Fantasy III was the first mainline Final Fantasy title to be released outside Japan in its original form; previous international releases were either remakes or heavily altered. The NDS version introduced the now‑famous job system, allowing players to change classes mid‑game. The game's opening theme, "Prelude", was rearranged for the NDS by longtime series composer Nobuo Uematsu.
