About This Game
"Duck Hunt" is a light-gun shooter game for the Nintendo Entertainment System where players use the Zapper to shoot flying ducks and clay pigeons, accompanied by a hunting dog that reacts to hits and misses.
Story
You are a hunter equipped with a trusty Zapper, heading out to the marshlands to test your marksmanship against flocks of ducks and stationary clay targets. Your loyal hunting dog accompanies you, ready to retrieve your downed prey—or to mock your misses.
Guide & Tips
At the start of each round, aim the crosshair with the D-pad and press the A button to shoot. You have three shots per duck; missing too many ducks ends the game. After the duck rounds, a clay pigeon shooting stage appears where you must hit the targets before they fly off. The dog will laugh when you miss and congratulate you when you succeed.

D-pad: Move aim crosshair. A button: Shoot (Zapper trigger). B button: No function in this game. Start: Pause / Begin round.
Trivia
Duck Hunt was one of the launch titles for the NES and famously bundled with the Zapper light gun. The dog's laugh became an internet meme, often used to express frustration. An obscure Easter egg allows players to shoot the dog in the bonus round for a unique animation.
