About This Game
Double Dragon II: The Revenge is a side-scrolling beat 'em up where players control martial artists Billy or Jimmy Lee as they fight through city streets to avenge Marian's kidnapping by the Shadow Warriors gang.
Story
Marian, the girlfriend of the Lee brothers, has been kidnapped by the ruthless Shadow Warriors gang. Billy and Jimmy Lee set out on a revenge-fueled crusade, battling through city streets, industrial zones, and the gang's headquarters to rescue her and defeat the gang's leader.
Guide & Tips
1. Learn the basic moves: punch/kick (A), jump (B), and elbow strike (press A while jumping). 2. Use weapons (bars, whips, knives) by walking over them; they replace your fists for stronger attacks. 3. Coordinate with a second player: you can perform joint attacks and revive each other when knocked down. 4. Watch enemy patterns: foot soldiers rush, knife throwers keep distance, and bosses have telegraphed heavy swings. 5. After each stage, you earn points that can be used to continue; try to preserve lives by avoiding unnecessary damage.

D-pad: Move left/right/up/down A: Punch/Kick (context‑sensitive) B: Jump Start: Pause Select: (unused in single‑player; used for coin insert in two‑player mode)
Trivia
Double Dragon II was the first NES beat 'em up to feature true simultaneous two‑player cooperative play, and it introduced the iconic "cyclone kick" (a jumping back kick) that became a staple of the series.
