About This Game
Rhythm Tengoku (released internationally as Rhythm Heaven) is a rhythm-based action game for the Game Boy Advance where players tap to the beat to complete a variety of quirky mini‑games, each with its own unique visual and musical theme.
Story
Rhythm Tengoku does not follow a linear narrative; instead, it presents a collection of whimsical scenarios—from samurai sword‑swinging to chewing‑toy factories—united by the common goal of hitting the beat. The ‘story’ is the player’s journey through increasingly challenging rhythm challenges.
Guide & Tips
Pay close attention to the on‑screen prompts and the background music; each mini‑game has a specific timing window. Press the A button in sync with the beat to succeed. Practice each stage in the training mode if available, and remember that missing a beat will reduce your score but not end the game.
Controls
Use the D‑Pad to navigate menus and select mini‑games. Press the A button to perform actions in rhythm (tap, swing, etc.). The B button cancels or goes back. Start pauses the game; Select opens the options screen.

The game was developed by Nintendo’s SPD group and music producer Tsunku♂. It was first released in Japan on August 3, 2006, and later inspired the Nintendo DS title Rhythm Heaven, which introduced the series to a worldwide audience.
