About This Game
Sonic Advance is a side-scrolling platformer featuring Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends as they battle Dr. Eggman's forces to collect the Chaos Emeralds and stop his evil plans.
Story
Dr. Eggman has launched a new scheme to conquer the world using the power of the Chaos Emeralds. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy race across various zones to stop him, reclaim the emeralds, and save the planet.
Guide & Tips
Use the D-pad to move left/right and crouch. Press A to jump, hold A for a higher jump. Press B to perform a spin dash; tap B while moving to dash forward. Collect rings to stay alive; losing all rings causes damage. Reach the goal ring at the end of each act to clear the stage. Use special abilities of Tails (fly), Knuckles (glide and climb), and Amy (hammer) when playing as them.
Controls
D-pad: Move / Crouch; A: Jump; B: Spin Dash / Attack; Start: Pause; Select: View Map (if applicable).
Trivia
Sonic Advance was the first original Sonic game developed for the Game Boy Advance, co-developed by Sonic Team and Japanese studio Dimps. It launched worldwide in 2001 and later received a sequel, Sonic Advance 2.
