About This Game
Densetsu no Stafy 3 (Legendary Starfy 3) is a side‑scrolling platformer for the Game Boy Advance released exclusively in Japan. Players control the star‑shaped hero Starfy as he jumps, spins, and attacks his way through colorful underwater stages, rescuing friends and thwarting the evil Ogura.
Story
The peaceful Pufftop Kingdom is thrown into chaos when the mischievous octopus Ogura steals the Royal Pearl and kidnaps Starfy’s friends. Starfy sets out on a daring adventure across the seas, traveling through coral reefs, sunken ships, and icy caverns to rescue his companions, retrieve the stolen pearl, and restore peace to his home.
Guide & Tips
Begin each level by moving Starfy with the D‑pad. Press A to jump and B to perform a spin attack that can defeat enemies and break certain blocks. Collect pearls and star coins to earn extra lives. Look for hidden passages behind breakable walls; they often contain bonus items or extra lives. Boss patterns are telegraphed – watch for their attack tells and counter with a well‑timed spin. When you obtain the special ‘Moe’ transformation (by finding a clam shell), you can swim faster and break through certain obstacles. Complete all six worlds and defeat Ogura in the final showdown to see the true ending.

Trivia
• Densetsu no Stafy 3 was the final Starfy title released on the Game Boy Advance; the series later moved to the Nintendo DS. • The game was never officially localized outside Japan, making it a sought‑after import for collectors. • Hidden throughout the stages are mini‑games starring Starfy’s friend Moe, which can be unlocked by finding special clam shells. • The soundtrack was composed by Shinji Hosoe, who also worked on the Ridge Racer series.
