About This Game
Mega Man Battle Network 4: Red Sun is the fourth installment in the Battle Network sub-series, blending real-time action with card-based strategy as players control Lan Hikari and his NetNavi MegaMan.EXE to stop the evil organization WWW from unleashing the destructive Red Sun virus.
Story
Lan Hikari and his NetNavi MegaMan.EXE discover that the nefarious WWW organization is planning to release the Red Sun virus, a powerful program capable of causing worldwide network blackouts. Together with friends Maylu, Dex, and their Navis, they embark on a journey to stop WWW, collect battle chips, and compete in the official NetBattle Tournament to prevent the catastrophe.
Guide & Tips
Navigate the world map, accept jobs, and battle viruses in real-time. Use the Custom Screen to select up to five battle chips before each encounter. During combat, move with the D‑pad, attack with A, dash with B, and switch chips with L/R. Defeat enemies to earn money and chips, upgrade your Navi, and progress through the story mode or enter the Tournament mode for ranked battles.
Controls
D‑pad – Move; A – Attack / Select; B – Dash / Cancel; L – Cycle chips left; R – Cycle chips right; Start – Pause / Menu; Select – Show status screen.

Trivia
This title was the first in the Battle Network series to introduce a dedicated Tournament mode, allowing players to compete in ranked NetBattles for special rewards. The Japanese version features exclusive anime cutscenes not present in the Western release.
