About This Game
Metal Slug 7 is a side-scrolling run-and-gun action game developed by SNK Playmore for the Nintendo DS. Players control members of the Peregrine Falcon Squad, battling through waves of enemies, vehicles, and massive bosses while collecting power-ups and rescuing hostages.
Story
The Rebel Army, under General Morden’s command, has developed a new superweapon capable of devastating the world. The Peregrine Falcon Squad—Marco, Tarma, Eri, and Fio—is deployed to infiltrate the enemy’s stronghold, destroy the weapon, and thwart Morden’s latest scheme for global conquest.
Guide & Tips
• Use the grenade button (Y) to clear groups of enemies or break obstacles. • Switch weapons with X to match the situation – flamethrower for close crowds, rocket launcher for armored foes. • Keep moving and crouch (down + A) to dodge incoming fire; the roll (L) can help avoid large projectiles. • Rescue hostages for extra points and occasional power‑up drops. • Learn each boss’s pattern; focus fire on exposed weak parts after they finish an attack.

Trivia
Metal Slug 7 was the first mainline title in the series to debut on the Nintendo DS, released in North America in February 2008. It introduced a new "Tag" system allowing players to switch between the four characters on the fly, a feature later reused in Metal Slug XX.
