About This Game
A side-scrolling platform game where Mario must retrieve the six golden coins stolen by his rival Wario to reclaim his castle.
Story
After being kicked out of his own castle by the villain Wario, Mario must travel through six different worlds to find the six golden coins needed to reclaim his home.

Navigate through various themed worlds, collect power-ups, defeat enemies, and find the hidden golden coins in each stage to progress.
Controls
D-pad: Move left/right/jump up. A button: Jump. B button: Run/Attack. Start: Pause menu. Select: Switch items.
Cheats & Passwords
Start with 99 lives: At the title screen, press A, B, B, A, A, B, B, A, B, A. Then start a new game.
Trivia
This was the first Mario game to feature Mario's signature cap. The Game Boy Color version added color to the original monochrome graphics.
