About This Game
Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride is a role‑playing game originally released for the Super Famicom and later remade for the Nintendo DS. Players assume the role of a young hero who embarks on a multi‑generational quest to rescue his beloved bride and uncover the fate of his family.
Story
The hero is the son of the legendary warrior Pankraz and his wife Madelena. After a tragic attack separates him from his parents, he grows up unaware of his lineage. Throughout his journey he meets two potential brides—Bianca and Nera—and must choose his partner while seeking to reunite with his father and defeat the evil force threatening the world.
Guide & Tips
Talk to every NPC for clues and side quests. Recruit monsters after battles and use them in the Monster Arena to earn rare items. Save often, especially before boss fights, and make use of the hotel’s free rest to recover HP/MP. Keep an eye on the day/night cycle as some events only occur at specific times.

Trivia
Dragon Quest V was the first game in the series to introduce the monster recruiting system, allowing players to befriend and battle with captured monsters. The DS remake added voice acting for key characters and a new 'Monster Arena' feature.
