About This Game

A SNES fishing simulation where players control a budding angler named Taro, casting lines in various locales to catch a variety of fish.

Story

Taro dreams of becoming the greatest fisherman in the land. Armed with his trusty rod, he travels from serene lakes to turbulent seas, seeking legendary fish and proving his skill in tournaments.

Guide & Tips

Use the D-pad to aim your cast, press A to throw the line. Wait for a bite (indicated by a splash and sound), then press A repeatedly to reel in the fish while managing tension. Press B to cancel or retreat. Access the menu with Start to change bait, view your catch log, or adjust settings.

D-Pad: Move/Aim; A Button: Cast line / Reel in; B Button: Cancel/Back; Start Button: Open menu; Select Button: (unused).

Trivia

Although originally released only in Japan, this cartridge received a full Chinese translation by the fan group Angel_Poon and others, making it accessible to Mandarin-speaking players.
