About This Game

Shiren the Wanderer (風來的西林) is a classic roguelike RPG for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Players control Shiren, a wandering warrior, as he explores randomly generated dungeons, collects items, fights monsters, and strives to reach the deepest floors of the Tower of Fortune.

Story

Shiren sets out on a quest to become the strongest warrior by conquering the mysterious Tower of Fortune. Legends say that whoever reaches the tower’s summit will gain untold riches and eternal glory. Along the way, he meets the loyal talking squirrel Koppa, who aids him with advice and occasional items, while facing countless monsters, traps, and the ever‑shifting dungeons that test his courage and wit.

Guide & Tips

Begin by equipping a weapon and shield. Explore each floor carefully, picking up items but mindful of weight limits. Use unidentified items with caution—they may be cursed. Save often via the password system, and consider using the 'Koppa' companion for hints. When you die, you lose all non‑equipped items, so retreat to safety when your health is low.

Trivia

The game is the original entry in Chunsoft's Mystery Dungeon series, which later inspired popular titles like Pokémon Mystery Dungeon. Its SNES version was never officially released outside Japan, making fan translations such as this Chinese version highly sought after by collectors.
