About This Game

The 7th Saga is a turn-based RPG released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1993 by Enix. Players choose one of seven warriors, each with a unique background and abilities, to collect the seven magical runes and stop the evil sorcerer Gorsia from conquering the world.

Story

The evil sorcerer Gorsia seeks the seven ancient runes to unleash chaos upon the world. The king summons seven legendary warriors, each destined to find one rune. As they journey across kingdoms, defeat monsters, and uncover secrets, they must unite the runes to defeat Gorsia and restore peace.

Begin by selecting one of the seven heroes. Talk to townspeople for hints and quests, explore dungeons to gain experience and items, and collect the seven runes scattered across the world. Manage your magic points wisely, upgrade equipment, and finally confront Gorsia in his fortress to restore peace.

Originally released in Japan as 'Elnard', the game was renamed 'The 7th Saga' for North America. Each of the seven characters has a unique personal storyline and exclusive set of spells. The title is known for its high random encounter rate, making grinding a frequent part of gameplay.
