About This Game
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Manhattan Project is a side-scrolling beat 'em up developed and published by Konami for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Players control one of the four turtles, each with unique weapons, to battle through New York City and defeat Shredder and his Foot Clan.
Story
The Foot Clan, led by Shredder, has kidnapped April O'Neil and is attempting to take over New York City. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles must fight their way through the city's streets, subways, and rooftops to rescue April and defeat Shredder once and for all.
Guide & Tips
Start by selecting your favorite turtle. Use the D-pad to move, A to jump, and B to attack. Combining jumps with attacks lets you perform aerial strikes. Collect pizza slices to restore health, and grab special items like the shuriken for ranged attacks. Learn each turtle's special move (e.g., Leonardo's spinning sword) by pressing down + B. Defeat bosses by learning their patterns and using well‑timed strikes.
Controls
D‑Pad: Move; A: Jump; B: Attack; Start: Pause; Select: Switch turtle.
Cheats & Passwords
At the title screen, input the Konami Code: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A to start with 30 lives.
Trivia
This game was the first TMNT title to allow all four turtles to be played simultaneously in a single playthrough, and it introduced unique special moves for each character.
