About This Game
Pokémon Silver is the second mainline Pokémon RPG for the Game Boy Color, released in 2000. Set in the Johto region, players embark on a journey to become the Pokémon Champion, collect all 251 Pokémon, and thwart the plans of the mysterious Team Rocket.
Story
Three years after the events of Pokémon Red/Blue, a new young trainer sets out from New Bark Town in the Johto region. Guided by Professor Elm, the player aims to collect Gym Badges, defeat the Elite Four, and become the Champion. Meanwhile, the sinister Team Rocket plots to exploit rare Pokémon, leading to several encounters that test the trainer’s resolve and friendship with their Pokémon.
Guide & Tips
Start in New Bark Town, choose your starter Pokémon (Chikorita, Cyndaquil, or Totodile). Follow the Johto gym challenge, defeat the eight Gym Leaders, then challenge the Elite Four in Indigo Plateau. Use the day/night system to encounter time‑specific Pokémon, and visit the Safari Zone for rare catches. Don’t forget to evolve your Pokémon via friendship, level‑up, or special items.
