About This Game
Adventure Island 4 is a side-scrolling platformer for the NES where players control Master Higgins as he runs, jumps, and throws weapons to navigate through various stages, defeat enemies, and rescue his girlfriend Tina.
Story
Master Higgins sets out on a daring adventure to rescue his kidnapped girlfriend Tina from the clutches of an evil witch doctor who has seized the island’s sacred treasure.
Controls
D‑Pad: Move left/right, Up to climb ladders/look up, Down to duck/crawl; A Button: Jump; B Button: Throw weapon/attack; Start: Pause; Select: (no function).
Trivia
Adventure Island 4 was never officially released outside Japan; the English version available today is a fan translation by the group Nokoh, based on the Japanese ROM. The game runs on a 4 Mb cartridge and features updated graphics and music compared to earlier entries in the series.
