About This Game

"Mappy" is a classic action game developed by Namco in 1983. Players control Mappy, a police mouse, chasing through houses to retrieve stolen items from the cat gang.

Story

Mappy is a police mouse tasked with retrieving stolen treasures from the Meowk Meow gang, a group of clever cats. The game takes place in various houses where the cats have hidden their loot.

Guide & Tips

Guide Mappy through the stages, avoiding the cat enemies while collecting stolen items. Use the doors strategically to trap cats temporarily. Complete each level by collecting all items without being caught.

Controls

Use D-pad to move Mappy, press A button to open/close doors, press B button to dash.

Trivia

"Mappy" was one of Namco's early successes and was inspired by the heist genre films. The character Mappy was named after the Japanese word for "mapping" or "charting" areas.
