Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry's Wonderland is a monster-catching RPG for the Game Boy Color where players recruit, train, and battle creatures to become the ultimate Monster Master.
Story
Terry, a young boy living in the peaceful town of Gremlin, dreams of becoming a great Monster Scout. After receiving a mysterious monster egg from his grandfather, he sets out on a journey to the legendary Wonderland, where he must capture, train, and battle monsters to prove his worth, uncover the secrets of the land, and thwart the evil plans of the dark sorcerer who seeks to dominate the monster world.
Guide & Tips
Begin by talking to villagers to receive your first monster egg. Use the D-pad to explore towns and dungeons; press A to interact or use items, B to cancel/open menu. Scan for wild monsters with the 'Search' command, then engage in turn-based battles. Winning battles grants experience and items; you can synthesize two monsters at the Monster Lab to create stronger hybrids. Save frequently at inns or using the Save point, and stock up on healing herbs before tough encounters.

D-pad: Move character / navigate menus; A: Confirm/select, talk, use item; B: Cancel / open menu; Start: Pause game / bring up menu; Select: Toggle map or switch screens.
Trivia
It was the inaugural title of the Dragon Quest Monsters series, introducing the monster synthesis mechanic that later became a staple of the franchise. The game never received an official Western release, but an English fan translation appeared in 2004.
