About This Game

Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising is a turn-based strategy game for the Game Boy Advance, developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo. It continues the conflict between the Allied Nations and the evil Black Hole army, introducing new COs, maps, and gameplay mechanics.

Story

The Black Hole army, led by the enigmatic Sturm, has returned with a new plot to conquer the world. The Allied Nations must reunite their forces, employing both veteran and new Commanding Officers to thwart Black Hole's advances across diverse terrains, from snowy tundras to desert wastelands.

Guide & Tips

Begin by selecting a campaign mission. Use the D-pad to move the cursor and A to select units or confirm actions. B cancels or opens the unit menu. Each turn, you can move units, attack, capture properties, or use CO Powers when the power meter is full. Manage your finances by capturing cities and factories to fund new units. Pay attention to terrain bonuses and unit matchups to gain advantage.

Trivia

Advance Wars 2 was the final Advance Wars title released on the Game Boy Advance; the series later moved to the Nintendo DS with Advance Wars: Dual Strike. It introduced a map editor that allowed players to create and share custom battles via the Game Boy Advance link cable.
