About This Game

Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island is a side-scrolling platform game developed and published by Nintendo for Game Boy Advance. It is a remake of the original Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island with enhanced graphics and additional features.

Story

The story follows Baby Mario who has been separated from his brother Baby Luigi and captured by Kamek the Magikoopa. Yoshi and his friends must travel through various themed islands to rescue Baby Mario and reunite him with his brother while facing against Bowser's minions and obstacles along the way.

Guide & Tips

Basic gameplay tips: Use the A button to jump and the B button to attack with Yoshi's tongue. Collect flowers to gain extra lives. Find hidden blocks for power-ups. Complete levels by reaching the goal flag at the end of each stage. Use Yoshi's abilities to reach hidden areas and collect all 20 stars in each level for a perfect rating.

Controls

Directional Pad: Move left/right and crouch. A Button: Jump. B Button: Attack/Yoshi's tongue. R Button: Run/Speed boost. L Button: Dash/Quick move. Start: Pause game. Select: Access map screen.

Cheats & Passwords

Infinite Lives: At the title screen, press Up, Down, Left, Right, A, B, Select, Start. You will hear a sound confirming the code. Extra Time: During a level, press Left, Right, Left, Right, A, B, A, B to get extra time. Skip Level: At the level select screen, press Select, Start, A, B, X, Y, Select, Start to skip to the next level.

Trivia

This remake features enhanced graphics compared to the original SNES version with new cutscenes and dialogue. The game introduces Baby Mario as a character riding on Yoshi's back, which became a recurring element in the Mario franchise. Yoshi's Island is known for its unique hand-drawn art style that gives the game a storybook feel.
