About This Game
Spider-Man: Mysterio's Menace is a side‑scrolling action‑platformer for the Game Boy Advance where players control Spider‑Man as he battles through illusion‑filled stages created by the villain Mysterio.
Story
Mysterio has devised a new scheme to trap Spider‑Man inside a series of elaborate illusionary worlds. Using his mastery of special effects and hypnosis, he creates dangerous environments filled with traps, enemies, and puzzles. Spider‑Man must navigate these deceptive stages, defeat Mysterio’s minions, and ultimately confront the master illusionist to restore reality.
Guide & Tips
Use the D‑pad to move Spider‑Man left and right. Press A to jump, B to perform a basic punch, and hold L or R to fire a web line that lets you swing across gaps or pull enemies toward you. Defeat enemies to earn points and collect power‑ups that restore health or grant temporary abilities. Learn each level’s layout and watch for Mysterio’s trap doors and moving platforms.
Controls
D‑Pad: Move left/right, crouch (down), look up (up). A: Jump. B: Punch / Attack. L: Fire web line left (swing or pull). R: Fire web line right (swing or pull). Start: Pause game / Open menu. Select: View map or toggle hints (if available).
Trivia
The game was developed by Vicarious Visions and published by Activision in 2001. It is one of the few Spider‑Man titles released for the Game Boy Advance that features original level design rather than being a direct port of a console game.
