About This Game
Romance of the Three Kingdoms (简体中文) is a turn‑based strategy simulation originally released for the Game Boy. Players manage provinces, recruit officers, and conduct diplomatic and military campaigns to unify ancient China under their rule.
Story
Set in the chaotic era of the Three Kingdoms (220‑280 AD), the game tasks players with guiding a fledgling state to dominate the fractured Chinese realm through warfare, politics, and resource management.
Guide & Tips
In the Game Boy version, start by allocating tax revenue to food and troop upkeep. Focus on recruiting high‑ability officers early and place them in provinces with strong defensive positions. Use the diplomacy menu to forge alliances and avoid fighting on multiple fronts. Gradually expand by conquering weaker neighboring states, then turn your attention to the powerful warlords Cao Cao, Liu Bei and Sun Quan.
