About This Game
Romance of the Three Kingdoms III is a turn-based strategy game set during the chaotic late Eastern Han and Three Kingdoms period of China. Players assume the role of a warlord, managing internal affairs, diplomacy, and military campaigns to unify the land under their rule.
Story
The game depicts the turbulent era following the Yellow Turban Rebellion, when warlords vied for control of a fractured Han empire. Players experience the rise and fall of legendary figures such as Cao Cao, Liu Bei, and Sun Quan, striving to rewrite history through strategic brilliance and martial prowess.
Guide & Tips
Begin by selecting a warlord and your starting province. Focus on developing agriculture and commerce to increase gold and food supplies. Train troops, appoint capable officers, and forge alliances or declare war as needed. Each turn consists of phases: domestic policy, diplomacy, military movement, and combat. Monitor your rivals' power and adapt your strategy to seize key cities and eventually achieve unification.

Trivia
Originally released in Japan as 'Sangokushi III' for PC-98 in 1992, the game was later ported to the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive in 1994. It was one of the first Koei strategy titles to appear on a home console, bringing the deep PC-style gameplay to a broader audience.
