About This Game
Metal Slug: First Mission is a side‑scrolling run‑and‑gun game released for the Neo Geo Pocket Color, featuring the classic Metal Slug action in a portable format.
Story
The evil General Morden has launched a new offensive with his rebel army, threatening global peace. Elite members of the Peregrine Falcons Squad, Marco Rossi and Tarma Roving, are deployed to infiltrate enemy bases, destroy their weapons, and stop Morden's plot.
Guide & Tips
Use the D-pad to move Marco/Tarma, press A to jump, B to shoot, and hold B for rapid fire. Collect weapon power‑ups (shotgun, heavy machine gun, rocket launcher) and grenades to clear each stage. Defeat the boss at the end of each level to progress. The game consists of five stages, each with multiple sections and a final boss.
Controls
D-pad – Move; A – Jump / Select; B – Fire / Confirm; Start – Pause; Option – Map / Status.
Trivia
This version is a 16 Mb ROM hack named 'Crazy Cell' that tweaks enemy placement and adds extra lives, making the game slightly easier for newcomers.
