About This Game
Super Mario World is a 1990 side‑scrolling platformer developed and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Players control Mario (or Luigi) as they journey through Dinosaur Island to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser.
Story
Bowser has kidnapped Princess Peach and taken her to Dinosaur Land. Mario and Luigi set out on a quest across diverse terrains—grasslands, deserts, caverns, and seas—to confront Bowser’s minions, rescue the princess, and restore peace to the kingdom.
Guide & Tips
Begin by mastering the basic controls: use the D‑pad to move, A to jump, B to dash/run, and Y to use Yoshi’s tongue when riding him. Collect coins for extra lives and look for hidden blocks that often contain power‑ups or 1‑up mushrooms. Each level has a normal exit and a secret exit; finding the secret exit unlocks alternate paths and opens the Star Road. Defeat bosses by learning their patterns and using fireballs or cape spins when powered up. Remember to save your progress at the castle after completing each world.

Trivia
Super Mario World was the first game to introduce Yoshi, who became a recurring companion in the Mario series. It also featured multiple exits per level, encouraging exploration and replayability, and was one of the launch titles for the SNES in North America.
