About This Game
Super Robot Wars 2 is a turn-based strategy RPG released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1994. It brings together characters from numerous mecha anime series (such as Gundam, Mazinger, Getter Robo, and more) for tactical battles on grid-based maps.
Story
The Earth faces a new threat from the alien Balmar Empire and the rogue Divine Crusaders, who seek to conquer the planet using ancient weapons and stolen technology. Following the events of the first Super Robot Wars, the Earth Federation calls upon legendary mecha pilots from various series to unite their forces. Players must coordinate these heroes, defeat enemy fleets, and prevent the Balmar from activating the catastrophic "Planet Destroyer" to save humanity.
Guide & Tips
1. Select a scenario from the main menu. 2. Deploy your available units onto the deployment zone before each battle. 3. Use the D‑Pad to move the cursor; highlight a unit and press A to confirm its action. 4. Choose Move, Attack, Special Ability, or Wait. After moving, you can attack enemies within range. 5. When a unit's turn ends, press A to end the turn and let the enemy act. 6. Manage HP, EN, and special weapons; some units have unique combo attacks that trigger when specific allies are adjacent. 7. Clear all enemy units or fulfill the scenario’s victory condition to proceed to the next story chapter. 8. Save your progress via the password system after each completed stage.

D-Pad: Move cursor/units; A Button: Confirm/select action; B Button: Cancel/back; Start Button: Pause/open menu; Select Button: Change map view or toggle help.
Trivia
Super Robot Wars 2 was the first title in the series to feature a "secret route" that unlocks hidden units and alternate story scenes when specific conditions are met. Despite its popularity in Japan, the game was never officially released outside of Japan, making it a sought-after import for collectors.
