About This Game
Obake no Q-Taro: WanWan Panic is a side-scrolling action platformer released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1990. Players control the friendly ghost Q-Taro as he navigates haunted stages, collecting items and avoiding enemies.
Story
Q-Taro is a playful ghost who lives in a haunted house. He enjoys scaring the living but must avoid the ghost hunters and other dangers that inhabit the mansion. His goal is to collect all the spooky treasures while staying unseen.
Guide & Tips
Move with the D-pad, jump with A, and attack or use special abilities with B. Collect hearts to restore health and look for hidden items that grant temporary invincibility. Avoid touching enemies; each hit reduces your health. Use the pause button (Start) to check your score and remaining lives.
Controls
D-pad: Move left/right, up/down (for ladders or doors). A: Jump. B: Attack / Use item. Start: Pause. Select: (usually unused).
Trivia
The original Japanese release was titled 'Obake no Q-Taro: WanWan Panic' and was published by Namco in 1990. The '高伟汉化' version is a fan-made Chinese translation that brought the game to Chinese-speaking audiences. The ROM size of 1Mb indicates a 128KB cartridge.
