About This Game
Da Shuihu (大话水浒) is an unlicensed Chinese RPG for the NES developed by Nanjing Jingke Technology. Loosely based on the classic novel Water Margin (Shuihu Zhuan), the game lets players recruit legendary heroes, explore ancient Chinese towns and battlefields, and undertake quests to rally the 108 outlaws of Liangshan.
Story
Set during the tumultuous end of the Northern Song Dynasty, the game follows a young warrior who leaves his village to join the legendary outlaws of Liangshan Marsh. Recruiting the 108 heroes of Water Margin, the player helps them resist corrupt officials, defend the innocent, and ultimately strive for justice amidst chaos.
Guide & Tips
Talk to every NPC to gather clues and side‑quests. Visit inns to fully restore HP/MP and save your progress. Equip better weapons and armor found in shops or dropped by enemies. Use the 'Item' menu to heal during battles. Keep an eye on your party's level; grinding in nearby forests or caves will make tougher bosses manageable.
